Unilever Great Carvery of the Year 2017

Launched in 2010, the Unilever Great Carvery of the Year competition is a countrywide search for the best pub and hotel carvery. It is considered a leading culinary competition within the food service industry in Ireland and Northern Ireland. H+A Marketing + PR play an integral part in activating the competition from event launch to promoting the winners across online and national media.

Although the winners of the 2017 Unilever Great Carvery of the Year were recently announced, H+A Marketing + PR’s work on this national competition commenced many months ago.

We played an integral role in recruiting and registering nearly 150 hotel and pub carveries from across the country for this year’s competition. We managed and coordinated the competition process, to ensure fairness and transparency.

A nationwide tour of all four corners of the country was organised for the mystery dining judging panel.

When it came to announcing the national winners, Beaumont House Dublin and Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel Fermanagh, H+A Marketing + PR recommended that Unilever use Facebook Live to surprise and announce the winners in their respective venues.

Overall, the Facebook Live videos generated over 20,000 views. The videos can be watched here.
